SNCP, National Association for Rubber and Polymer industry (Syndicat
National des Caoutchoucs et Polymères)
SNCP is a member of the "Centre français du caoutchouc
et des polymères" (French Center for rubber and polymers),
a multiexpertise center for the development of the rubber industry.
This Center gathers, in addition to SNCP, a testing and research
laboratory for rubbers and plastics (LRCCP) and a training center
for the rubber industries (IFOCA).
 |
SNCP gathers all the key players in the rubber industry:
- raw material suppliers,
- compound manufacturers,
- tire manufacturers,
- tire rebuilders,
- producers of technical rubber parts,
- manufacturers of adhesive tapes.
|
SNCP is structured around the needs related to the use and application
of rubbers. It comprises 7 departments:
- social,
- health and safety,
- environment,
- economy and statistics,
- international,
- communication,
- standardization.
The rubber standardization unit
The management of the rubber standards collection was entrusted
to UNM in September 2002 with the creation of a new structure: the
Rubber standardization unit. This structure is financed by SNCP and
its orientation is decided by the Strategic Management Committee
for rubber standardization. The rubber standardizing structure required
the support of a specialized organization of sufficient size: UNM.
